Ooooppppssss! Don’t think that I’m writing a philosophical type of blog. I can not think of a more appropriate title for my first post. The said question of “Who I am?” is a question that has been plaguing human kind since time immemorial, this question has been bothering me also for the past few days. As you grow old (I’m reaching 30 this April), you think and ponder a little (maybe)… Before we write a philosophical treatise allow me to introduce myself…
I am RONALDO GUERRERO BORJA as what it is written in my birth certificate above. Born, April 16, 1978 at Infant Jesus Hospital, my father is Renato Borja (the current vice mayor of our town – Polangui, Albay) and my mother is Florenda Guerrero Borja (deceased – I MISS HER SO MUCH!)
As according to my feng shui planner 2008 this day is fortunate for me… That’s why started blogging today he he he he he… I am thinking of a big reason why should I blog and why should you read about it. Well if you put that question in an Oxford Oregon Type of debate you should answer the necessity, beneficiality and practicability of writing your own blog and letting others read it.
Necessity – Well, writing my own blog fulfills a need in me. Before I leave my twenty something years, I need to know where am I? What have I been doing? WHO AM I? Putting it into paper (even an electronic one) will serve as an epitome of my soul searching. As for the readers, reading my blog might fill a need to learn and to be a spectator of someone else’s life, that’s why reality shows are such a hit like the Big Brother editions.
Beneficiality – Having a blog is beneficial since you can record your thoughts, your point of views and anything you want to put. It might serve as my own shrink, since consulting a shrink here in our country is already synonymous to being a loony. Reading someone else’s blog is also beneficial since you can pick up lessons and have more friends. They said globalization is only about economics, ever since we entered the information age, even data, information and friendships are to be considered global.
Practicable – Witting a blog is practicable, since it can be done, it can also be read. Since I’m using my cp as a modem for my notebook, it is much easier to blog. But writing is not just about typing your keyboard, there must be emotions involved, a bit of wit and intellect plus a lot of guts he he he he!
As the title of my blog is “THE ODYSSEY” expect me to write my journey, my quests to reach my goals in life, I look upon it as a computer game, as an anime series (like Naruto and Samurai X), as an adventure like what Odysseus had after the Trojan War.
Join me everyday as we trek the mountains of uncertainty and despair, the oceans of temptation and fear, the monsters known as poverty, greed and insecurity. Join me as we battle them and prove our worth that we are winners!
